Mr. Mescudi…I introduced myself to your sounds after I heard Day ‘n Nite (Crookers version), I didn’t really think much of I because it was just one of those singles on my itunes library, so I googled your name up and your ‘A Kid Named Cudi’ mixtape came up and I downloaded it…I cant even begin to describe the AWESOMENESS I experienced listening to it over and over again, I couldn’t understand why it was just a mixtape??? I waited my ass off for MOTM to come out (15.09.09) but I guess the mixtape made it worthwhile…A day after it came out I made sure I visited a music store to buy it and nothing because I knew it had to be one of those albums you have to get a hard copy of to force your grandkids listen to when your too old to hear anything…South Africa is a useless country when it comes to getting albums of artists who aren’t heard on the radio charts and the like…so I managed to get it a week after off itunes, I dedicated 2 hours to listen to it and…it was extremely SUPERBLY AWESOME…your music is just generally to unique to have a genre (Afterall there is only one Cudi!), your music like you say made me think of things us youth like putting in the back of our minds while we shield ourselves behind ‘trying to make that paper’ or ‘fuckin bad bitches’ but I guess its the society we live in…I’m super keen on the new album, I think the name change and change of direction is gonna keep the consistancy and expand on what you developed in MOTM…I also hope you dont push the release period coz August is my birthday month so I look forward to it…Lastly I ask of you to consider coming to South Africa in the next 3 years, I’m sure by then you’ll have shitloads of fans by then, we really dont walk with lions and elephants…its much much better than Australia…ha ha…(you probably wont even see this post!!!
